Shabbat / Sabbath
The most important of Jewish holidays, Shabbat is a day of rest that begins on sundown Friday and ends on sundown Saturday. Shabbat is welcomed by the lighting of the candles, reciting special prayers over the wine and the bread (challah), and praying blessings over one another. We encourage families to celebrate this special weekly holiday to get closer to God and each other.

Purim / Feast of Lots
Though not considered a biblical feast, the Jewish People celebrate it to commemorate God’s deliverance of their ancestors from being destroyed by Haman as noted in the book of Esther. Many Christians join in the celebration.
